International Student Care was established in 2002 with the sole intention of raising the level of care and support on offer to international students attending educational or training facilities in Australia. It was viewed as essential that this service was both proactive and reactive and accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
As awareness of the service grew, we were approached by government agencies and sectors of the private industry seeking our expertise to advise and assist with the implementation of their risk minimisation and crisis intervention strategies.
As a result, the service we now provide has expanded nationally to include the safety and welfare of staff, students and relevant stakeholders in the education sector on and off campus. We also develop and implement strategies to ensure the ongoing compliance with relevant legislation.

Acting as the link between a student’s family and the educational institution in times of crisis.
Our services are designed to help both students placed in our care and also other service providers and government departments who may be assisting students while they are in Australia. Due to the often time-sensitive nature of threats posed to students, we’re committed to providing an urgent response – whether that involves assisting in crisis management planning, or we’re needed to be on the ground the next day. From students who are victims of crime, students who have been arrested or charged, or students needing advice over rental or employment issues, we can be relied upon to provide the support and assistance needed to ensure individuals remain safe and are given every opportunity to live a secure life while studying here.
